So I am listening to the Glenn Beck Show this morning (which usually just grates on my nerves, but today was actually funny) because it is what we wake up to on KTTH 770. Mr. Beck actually made me laugh this morning!
There have been some pretty major goof-ups by the Obama campaign; most of them made by Joe Biden. The first goof-up (in my opinion) was the
ad the Obama campaign made that criticized McCain for being “out of touch” and old because he doesn’t use the computer or the Internet. In case you didn’t know, John McCain spent 5.5 years as a POW in N. Vietnam. The Obama campaign must know this, as it has been stated & talked about for some time now. In spite of this knowledge, though, they still produced the ad (See Hemmer on FOX News interview an Obama aide on this topic). McCain is not an imbecile – he CAN’T use the computer!!! He is physically unable to use it do to the extent of his injuries acquired in POW camp. So go ahead, Mr. Obama, pick on the disabled guy (btw, although McCain hasn’t responded in kind to the ad[which I don’t think he *needs* to even grant them the courtesy of a response], a 527 group has. You can see their ad here.).
Anyways, the funny thing this morning was Beck was listing silly things Biden has said (and he had sound bites for all these). Biden was talking to Katie Couric and she asked him why the Obama Campaign had run that ad attacking McCain for being “out of touch” and unable to us a computer. Biden said he was sorry about that and they should have never run it and he didn’t approve of the ad, and Obama — and here he stopped himself, because every ad that is run has to have “This is Barak Obama and I approve this message.” on it!!!
That was pretty funny.
Even funnier, though, was how Biden (who has been in the Senate how long? since 1972, in case you didn’t know) was at a rally where he saw Senator Chuck Graham and asked him to stand up! Chuck Graham is in a wheelchair because he’s a paraplegic … something the obviously self-involved Biden didn’t notice in all his years of service in the Senate.
Another time, Biden told Katie Couric that
President Roosevelt got on TV and reassured the people in 1929 that things would be okay when the stock market crashed. I figure ya’ll can figure out what all is wrong with that statement. 🙂
Gotta go make breakfast. Hopefully there will be more funny things today. I have a serious blog to post, another follow-up on the Infants Born Alive Act … but I’d rather be silly just now.
