Last day of September

Well, it has been over a month now since we lost the baby. Life has gotten back to normal – sort of.
I still haven’t ordered the kids’ curriculum, but am hoping to get that finalized today.
We’ve missed church the past couple weeks – once due to being sad and once due to our friends coming for a visit.
Mel & Nate and their kids came up from Cali for a visit this weekend. It was really nice to see them and visit. Our kids got along real well. Daniel was quite sad this morning because Keagan wouldn’t be coming over to play. ๐Ÿ™
We also got to reconnect with a friend who lives in Tacoma, but we haven’t seen in a few years. He lives by our church and may come and visit it! ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s a funny story there, but I don’t think it would translate well to the world wide web, so I’ll leave it out.
Today we are doing school and housework. I have been getting on the Wii Fit more often. Now I actually need to exercise with it! It said I gained 2 pounds over the weekend. ๐Ÿ™ It was all the eating out!! But I think we’re tired of eating out now. ๐Ÿ™‚ So we’ll be saving money and getting slimmer.
Jeff & I are kind of bummed – Obama has been up (like 8 points) in the polls recently. While we know that “the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord”, we still really don’t want Obama for President. There are a myriad of reasons – he’s unqualified, he lies, he kills babies, and he won’t keep us safe. There are more reasons behind each of those reasons, but I don’t feel like going into those right now. However, I don’t understand how so many Americans can be so wishy-washy to not know who they are going to vote for!! Seriously – it’s pretty simple. You either want someone who believes life is valuable (in more ways than one) or you want someone who believes that only certain peoples’ lives are valuable and others are expendable “for the greater good”.
I’m going to start ranting and ripping on Obama if I don’t stop here, so I am going to stop. Hope you all have a be-ooootiful day.

About Sonja

I am a wife, a mom, a homeschooler, a Christian, a scrapbooker, a cook, a baker, a reader, and a thinker. I am many other things, too, that are not so easily defined. Right now, God has been calling me to be faithful in what He has given me to do โ€“ to be the best wife, mom, homeschooler, friend, etc. that I can be. In essence, He has told me to โ€œbloom where Iโ€™m plantedโ€.
