Happy New Year

Well, I haven’t blogged in a while. We enjoyed this Christmas season, as much as we could. Christmas Eve was hard, with Dad being gone and all. Christmas day was good – I really enjoy the boys God has given us.
Jeff and I were talking about 2008 and how we wouldn’t want to repeat it. We came to realize it was a good year in some respects. We paid off our credit card debt, we made new friends & reconnected with old friends. The boys have more friends now than ever! God blessed our lives by giving us a church family who loves us no matter what. They were a great witness of God’s love while I was in the hospital this summer.
So 2009 is here. This year, I am going to do more stuff! I started this in December – actually baking cookies and treats for Christmas Day (and some to give away). We also went out to see the Nutcracker and were going to see other things but then the snow cancelled plans. I guess I should refine my goal – I want to do more with the kids – to get out and experience life & not just sit at home all the time. When we are home, I want them to have fun – to have a safe environment in which they can learn, experiment and be curious about whatever they like.
Thank you all for the prayers this last year. Thank you all who sent cards, flowers, goodies, and kind thoughts our way. Jeff and I really appreciate all that you have done.
Happy New Year!!

About Sonja

I am a wife, a mom, a homeschooler, a Christian, a scrapbooker, a cook, a baker, a reader, and a thinker. I am many other things, too, that are not so easily defined. Right now, God has been calling me to be faithful in what He has given me to do – to be the best wife, mom, homeschooler, friend, etc. that I can be. In essence, He has told me to “bloom where I’m planted”.
