Weekend plans

We’re getting ready for Daniel’s birthday party tomorrow. He is already 6, but we’ll be celebrating tomorrow. 😉
I’ve been a little down lately, trying to not be. Thankfully I have Christ. He is my Strength. Without Him, I think I would be in the depths of despair. I talked to a friend the other day and she commented on how normal I sounded. She said most people would be wrecks. I wasn’t quick enough to remind her that it is God Who gives me strength. He is my reason for living. And like the song says, “He gives & takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
So Daniel’s been having a pretty good week. He was sick on his birthday and the day after, but he’s better now. Today he got to go shopping with Aunt Tina & Aunt Kamali. They got him Levi’s (I think it has an apostrophe), and some pants that turn into shorts (the bottoms zip off), two shirts & new light-up shoes!!! He’s very excited. He also went to lunch (could’ve picked anywhere and he picked Burger King) and ice cream (Baskin & Robbins). Now he’s napping.
Tomorrow we will have cake and ice cream and chips and lots of fun! 🙂 Hopefully it will be as warm as it is today so they can play in the sprinkler. 🙂
Hope you all have a great weekend!

About Sonja

I am a wife, a mom, a homeschooler, a Christian, a scrapbooker, a cook, a baker, a reader, and a thinker. I am many other things, too, that are not so easily defined. Right now, God has been calling me to be faithful in what He has given me to do – to be the best wife, mom, homeschooler, friend, etc. that I can be. In essence, He has told me to “bloom where I’m planted”.
