mustard and muffins

This morning I made scrambled eggs and raspberry muffins. Nicholas wanted ketchup on his eggs (not too unusual) and then decided he needed mustard for his muffin. He dipped the muffin in the mustard and ate it!!!!!

Three year olds. What are you gonna do?!

startling discovery

So the other day, Evva, my MIL, calls and asks if she may borrow some books. There is only so much TV a person can watch!! We said yes, of course! So I gathered some that I thought she might like, so she wouldn’t have to hunt through all the bookshelves. She asked what kinds of books they were. I said, “Well, this one is about early England … and this one is about early America … and this one is about the west …” Jef said, “her books are mostly history.”
I NEVER REALIZED THAT!
They are – I read mainly historical fiction. There are the classics thrown in – Jane Austen & Poe – but I tend to have a lot of history books. That was my startling discovery. Just thought I’d share!

New glasses!

Here is Nicholas hamming for the camera. He’s showing off his new glasses. Nicholas did not need a new prescription (praise the Lord!!), but his old frames were too small. (check out the before and after photos below) Today we went and picked up his new glasses. His first reaction was, “they’re too big!”. They do look a little big, but I think it gives him room to grow. Nicholas seemed to like them just fine after we left the eyeglasses place. 🙂 6/23/06 Posted by Picasa
