I can’t remember what cat this was! I think it was the lynx. She was sitting, almost posing, above the log when we first saw her. Then Jef took out the camera & she went & hid. Maybe she was having a bad hair day. NW Trek 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

Here the otters are playing with each other. They did this the whole time we were watching. They’d dunk each other, and chase each other, and try to pull each other under water. It was really fun to watch! 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

I love sea otters. This is a river otter, which is also very cute (to me). There were two river otters at NW Trek. They were very playful and quick. Needless to say we didn’t get a good picture!! 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

A badger at NW Trek. The boys thought he was cute. Daniel didn’t quite understand why Daddy said they were dangerous (Jef said they’d rip your face off), since he looked so cute. We tried to explain how viscious badgers can be. Our lesson was successful when we told the boys daschunds (sp I am sure) were bred to catch them, and how the little dogs would hold onto the badger & their master would grab their tail & pull both out of the badger’s hole. 🙂 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

This is the back of a snowy owl, he turned his head real quick & Jef snapped the picture. 🙂 Which owl do you like the best, Mom? NW Trek; 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

Wow. This one came out better than I thought! This is a horned owl. Again, taken at Northwest Trek, for my mom. :o) 8/8/05 Posted by Picasa

A snowy owl at Northwest Trek. I had Jef take owl pictures for my mom. 🙂
I like this one a lot because the owl looks like he is winking at you!
