The boys are doing great. They are getting so big. Nicholas, especially, seems to get bigger every day.
Jonathan is working toward getting ten sections done in AWANA first, so he can win a book bag.
Daniel lost 3 pounds and gained 2 inches since the last time he saw the dr. (about 6 months ago).
Nicholas is picking up on writing and math really well. He is able to do the math questions in his head, mostly.
Jeff is good. The business is doing well. He’s staying busy.
I’m okay. Today I drove by St. Joe’s and that made me sad. Then I got a call confirming my tubal ligation, and THAT made me sad.
You know, sometimes we women don’t realize how our husbands (or boyfriends or fiances) protect us from stuff. Jeff is hurting, I know that. Yet he still takes really good care of me – even to the point of making it so I don’t remember stuff too often. It’s not like we’re trying to block out the memories or anything, they just hurt to think about. I’m glad to have Jeff. I’ve been reading these vampire books and the boys in them want to protect the girl and that made me think. That’s really all we (girls) want. We want to be protected – treasured – loved. Isn’t that what everyone wants?

About Sonja

I am a wife, a mom, a homeschooler, a Christian, a scrapbooker, a cook, a baker, a reader, and a thinker. I am many other things, too, that are not so easily defined. Right now, God has been calling me to be faithful in what He has given me to do – to be the best wife, mom, homeschooler, friend, etc. that I can be. In essence, He has told me to “bloom where I’m planted”.
