Professor Nicky
Nicholas had me take a picture this morning. He said Jonathan made up the name “Professor Nicky”. Isn’t he silly?!

THE SEAHAWKS WON!!!!!!
Whew! They beat Tampa Bay 20-6!
In the beginning, it was a little iffy. My friend Lori wasn’t too sure they’d pull it off, but the Hawks did it!!!
Hurray!!! First game of the season and it’s our win!!
side note – Daniel’s soccer team is called the Red Hawks. 🙂

Check out this cool artist!
There is a guy in England who makes chalk drawings on the pavement. When view from the right perspective, they look 3-D. It is too cool. Go see – (click here) or paste this into your browser’s address bar – http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/pave.htm
You’ll want to scroll down the page a bit until you see “Anamorphic illusions”. If you click on the pictures, you’ll see a larger view.

i surrender all
to the promises you made
and i will give it all
to the maker of the day
no one knows your heart
and no one knows your fears
when no one solves the mysteries
or even wipes away the tears
i surrender all
to the promises you made
and i will give it all
to the maker of the day
can you hear the sound of laughter
from the other side of life?
there are days when i feel like a stranger sometimes
tell me, are there any other fools like me?
i surrender allto the promises you made
and i will give it all
to the maker of the day
this reliance on another world
has a great effect on this world
this conscience of another world
has a great effect on
grace recollection
he doesn’t love us ’cause of who we are
he only loves us ’cause of who he is
he doesn’t love us ’cause of who we are
he only loves us ’cause of who he is
i surrender all (he doesn’t love us ’cause of who we are)
to the promises you made (he only loves ’cause of who he is)
and i will give it all (he doesn’t love us ’cause of who we are)
to the maker of the day
***Repeat until it fades out***
I Surrender All

All about Labor Day
well, okay, so this site doesn’t tell you EVERYTHING about Labor Day, but it gives you a good background for why & how it started. Personally, I like the whole parade idea and think that should be reinstituted. 🙂

new curtains
My kitchen has been pretty plain. We’ve lived here for six years and I really wanted curtains for the kitchen (I hate miniblinds). My friend, Lori O., came over this week and helped me (she did a lot of the work) make these curtains. We are going to work on a valance next. My friend, Lori C., helped me hang them (as did Jef). 🙂 In the morning, it is very cheery in the kitchen. The color of the curtains is a creamy lemon yellow. I will take more pictures later.
